Learning Disability Testing

Our Learning Disability Evaluations are designed to help individuals understand and manage symptoms. A specific learning disability can interfere with a person’s ability to comprehend, read, spell, write, and complete mathematical equations. There are multiple types of learning disabilities such as Dyslexia (learning disability in reading), Dyscalculia (learning disability in math), and Dysgraphia (learning disability in writing). Through a series of personalized assessments, we identify specific challenges and strengths with a combination of cognitive and achievement testing. This process starts with a detailed interview to gather background information, followed by a combination of observational techniques and standardized testing. These methods are carefully chosen to suit each individual’s unique profile and circumstances, ensuring an accurate diagnostic impression.

We aim to provide our clients understanding of how learning disabilities affect daily life, focusing on the client’s specific cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Our evaluations also explore how learning disabilities impact educational and occupational achievements. By thoroughly assessing each individual’s situation, we can tailor interventions specific to the client’s unique results. This comprehensive approach helps individuals and their families develop strategies that are effective and sustainable.

The benefits of undergoing our evaluations extend beyond diagnosis. Clients receive personalized advice on managing symptoms and making use of available resources. This can include strategies at home and in school, as well as workplace accommodations. Please note that we can offer an educational diagnosis for a learning disability but do not provide a medical diagnosis or medications.
